FaithLands National Conference September 17-19, 2025
FaithLands creates space for sharing strategies, success stories, and ideas among local, regional, and state-wide stakeholders to facilitate strong innovative projects without reinventing the wheel. You are invited to join a gathering of faith-community leaders and farmer advocates from around the U.S. that are interested in learning and sharing about growing food on lands owned by faith-based communities. The conference will be on September 17-19, 2025 at the Carondelet Event Center in St Paul, MN. Interfaith Food is the lead organizer for FaithLands. Land Access & Land Capital Hybrid Workshop on April 24, 2025
The American Farmland Trust (AFT), the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), and the USDA Office of Partnerships & Public Engagement (OPPE) are partnering to host this workshop that will cover information on SBA loans and the following topics: Buying land, Different terms and requirements, Guidance on secure financing to purchase land, Details on different types of land loans, Eligibility criteria, Application processes, & Strategies to access capital for land acquisition. Interfaith Council of Sonoma County’s Harmony of Faiths: An Interfaith Musical Celebration on April 27, 2025
Join for an afternoon of music, connection, and shared purpose at an ‘Interfaith Musical Bash.’ Musicians from a number of different faiths and cultural traditions will come together and provide uplifting performances, meaningful conversations, and foster a growing community. Coffee, tea, and snacks will be provided. This event is hosted by the Interfaith County of Sonoma County and at the Church of the Roses in Santa Rosa. Event is 1-3pm. Click here for further details.

Sonoma & Marin County Farms & Gardens on Faith Community Land Focus Group February 15, 2023
Faith leaders from Sonoma and Marin County convened for a focus group on farms and gardens on faith community land. We welcomed congregational representatives to the farm next to Christ Church United Methodist in Santa Rosa at 10:00 am February 15 for a tour and discussion of challenges and successes faith groups encounter when running a farm or garden on faith-community land.
North Bay Food and Farms Forum September 8th, 2023, Petaluma
The progressive food and agricultural community gathered to get to know the two candidates for the 12th District state assembly seat, Sara Aminzadeh and Damon Connolly- in this non-partisan, educational forum, which provided an opportunity to educate the candidates on important policy issue that directly impact our local farms, food system, farm workers, land, water, environment and communities.

Soil Not Oil Gathering Sept. 17th, 2023 @ 9AM Farmers, environmental activists, and farmworker organizations came together to found the Soil Not Oil Conference in 2015. Our main focus is to educate about soil solutions to climate change by highlighting the importance of agro-ecological and Organic farming practices, as well as addressing and supporting environmental justice at all levels.
