Interfaith Sustainable Food Collaborative is conducting a survey of faith organizations in 9 Bay Area counties in order to provide a list to county Offices of Emergency Management and COADs/ VOADs (Community/ Voluntary Organizations Active in Disasters), of faith organizations and any resources they may have to help their communities access food during a disaster. By agreeing to be on the list that means faith organizations can be contacted as part of a coordinated effort to provide people with basic needs after a disaster.
The information Interfaith Food is surveying includes resources such as commercial kitchen assets, feeding spaces, translation services, cold food storage, dietary accommodations, and more. Use the map below to explore faith organizations in the Bay Area that have shared their resources and opted in to aid disaster responders. (Search by locations the group serves or by their disaster resources available).
If you or your faith organization is located in one of the 9 Bay Area counties and have not yet filled out the survey but would be interested in doing so, click here.
If you are with a disaster response organization or are interested in further information and contacts for any of the above listed organizations, contact info@interfaithfood.org for access.
