Join our interfaith community dialogue on local programming that connects faith communities with the people and policies that determine what we eat and how that affects our bodies, our spirits and the earth.

April 2nd 2020, The Interfaith Sustainable Food Collaborative hosted a virtual workshop on State Advocacy Opportunities through the Legislature and Governor’s Master Plan for Aging. Guest speakers included Jared Call from California Food Policy Advocates, Nicole Newell with Lutheran Office of Public Policy, and Attorney Shyaam Subramanian an expert on non-profit advocacy from Alliance for Justice.

In August and September, 2014, the Interfaith Sustainable Food Collaborative offered a Workshop Series, “Teaching Stewardship, Food and Faith Through Sacred Texts.” Unity in Marin in Novato and First Presbyterian Church in San Rafael served as our gracious hosts. This series was designed to give religious educators, camp staff, and clergy leaders tools and resources to integrate themes of faith, sustainability, agriculture, and food justice. Learn more about it here.

Roundtables are a great place for clergy or lay-leaders to gather and discuss topics related to food and faith. These informal discussions organized by the Interfaith Sustainable Food Collaborative are free programs typically held from 12 to 1:15pm and include lunch.
