COVID Response March 2020 — Volunteers are considered essential personal. Volunteer opportunities to ensure food security are offered. Various congregations are highlighted for the work they are doing in response to COVID. COVID response survey is available. Interfaith Food partnerships get homebound seniors affordable access to local produce in 6 Marin communities.
March 2020 — Registration for the 2020 Interfaith Food conference is available. Information regarding programs for young peoples to be trained in growing food by various faith-based groups is promoted. Information and applications for the 2020 mini-grant from Interfaith Food are provided. Advocacy workshop on Senior Nutrition Funding takes place on April 2nd. Welcome new VISTA team member, Morgan Coulson.
December 2019 — Mini-grant breakfast program applications and information is available. Interfaith Food welcomes Guadalupe Gallegos to the team, and continues to recruit 2 more VISTA AmeriCorps members for the team. Information for the 2020 Interfaith Food conference is available. Volunteers are needed at Elisha’s pantry.
